..... about the gear
Practice Chanters All of our Bagpipe rentals come with a Practice Chanter. The Practice Chanter is an absolute necessity, as it is the low volume key to learning everything on the Bagpipes: fingerings, embellishments, songs and all the fine details. Even the most experienced Bagpiper uses their Practice Chanter consistently whenever learning new material or rehearsing with a group. Chanters are available in adult and children's size. |

Practice Pipes
Highland Bagpipes are LOUD !! We offer several low volume versions of the bagpipe as an individual instrument or in our packages. With Practice Pipes you can rehearse in your home, any time of day without raising the roof.

Highland Bagpipes
Now we're talking, the Highland Pipes, or GHB's (Great Highland Bagpipes) are the most popular and widely used of all the bagpipes, heard in marching Pipe Bands and used by soloists alike. Loud and Proud !!
To make the student's musical life as easy as possible we have selected the best "bang for your buck" bagpipe on the market, one that delivers the best possible performance with the least amount of difficulty and anxiety, while keeping the cost reasonable.
While high-end bagpipes made from Exotic Woods, equipped with a Cane chanter reed would deliver the absolute best in sound quality, a new piper needs simplicity and ease of operation during the early stages of the process. These pipes are made of the same type of material that Clarinets have been made of for decades. These materials make the instruments less prone to moisture and humidity related issues which results in less work and stress on the student piper.
